Hollyoaks<\/a> and Brookside actor Philip Olivier married his long-term partner Amy Virtue last weekend, in a “perfect” ceremony in Liverpool. The pair, who share five children together, said their vows aboard the Daffodil boat in Liverpool’s Canning Dock.<\/p>\n

Among the guest list were a number of Olivier’s soap friends, including Emmerdale and Waterloo Road actor Adam Thomas, and fellow Brookside stars Leon Lopez, Paul Byatt and Jennifer Ellison, who played Olivier’s on-screen love interest Emily Shadwick.<\/p>\n

Ellison took to Instagram<\/a> to congratulate the Tim ‘Tinhead’ O’Leary<\/a> actor and his new wife, with a collection of photos and videos from the big day. <\/p>\n

“What a day!!!! We honestly had the best day ever, celebrating our gorgeous friends Phil and Amy’s wedding!” she wrote in the caption.<\/p>\n

“Everything was perfect from start to finish and what a wedding venue @daffodilliverpool absolutely stunning! Amy you were the most perfect bride and the kids made our hearts melt! What a gorgeous family, we loved celebrating your special day with you.” <\/p>\n

The photos showcased the sweet event, with glimpses at the menu, personalised favours, and picturesque venue, as well as snaps of Ellison enjoying the day.<\/p>\n

One video saw the happy newlyweds dancing into the wedding reception in style, greeted by their supportive friends and family. As they made their way into the room, Olivier twirled his bride amid cheers from the crowd.<\/p>\n

“An Amazing day… loved every minute sharing the day with old friends,” Hollyoaks and Brookside star Louis Emerick<\/a> wrote in the comment section, with former co-star Lopez agreeing: “What a day!!!! Loved seeing you both.”<\/p>\n

Olivier first appeared on Brookside back in 1996, with his character Tinhead being introduced as a school bully. Over the years, Tinhead continued to cause trouble for those around him, despite his later efforts to turn his life around. <\/p>\n

The character was featured in the last ever episode of the soap in 2003, and he recently returned for the Brookside\/Hollyoaks crossover event<\/a> where it was revealed he was still up to his old tricks. <\/p>\n

Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming<\/a> premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.<\/p>\n
