When it comes to Ireland<\/a> and England, there remains a healthy rivalry between the two countries. That is very true in a sporting sphere, but people from the two nations also give very little ground when it comes to admitting that the other is better at doing certain things.<\/p>\n

There was a prime example on Stick to Football this week, with Roy Keane shooting down Gary Neville’s claims that England<\/a> were the best in the world in a couple of areas.<\/p>\n

It led to a very funny conversation.<\/p>\n

Roy Keane names two things Ireland do better than England<\/p>\n

On the latest episode of Stick to Football<\/a>, Gary Neville was still riding high on the euphoria of England’s World Cup triumph over Mexico. Being in a patriotic mood, he opened the show by asking what things the English did better than any other nation in the world.<\/p>\n

When he put the question to Roy Keane, the conversation played out exactly as you would have expected.<\/p>\n

Not only did Keane bring up England’s ability to annoy those of other nationalities, but he also suggested that Ireland actually surpassed them in a couple of categories put forward by his fellow pundit. The Cork man also gave a plug to a local business that he was supporting in the process.<\/p>\n

Neville: What does England do better than anybody?<\/p>\n

Keane: Piss people off?<\/p>\n

Neville: I put out there breakfast. We do a better breakfast.<\/p>\n

Keane: No, not better than Ireland. Not having breakfasts. What is all this ‘what does England do better?’ Is this because they won?<\/p>\n

Neville: It’s just a question this morning. What does England do better than anybody?<\/p>\n

Keane: Annoy people.<\/p>\n

Neville: Royal celebrations? We do that pretty well.<\/p>\n

Keane: You don’t do these (Shandon Sweets) though do ye? Ye don’t make sweets like that do ye?<\/p>\n

Neville: Oh chocolate? Dairy milk, you bite that up. Cadbury?<\/p>\n

Keane: Ireland has better chocolate than England!<\/p>\n

Neville: Yeah but Cadbury was born in England, you can’t claim it. Cadbury isn’t Irish all of a sudden just because they serve it over there.<\/p>\n

Keane: England are very good at claiming stuff, you know what I mean? Jesus.<\/p>\n

Fair play to Roy Keane for getting a plug in for a Cork business in there.<\/p>\n

Of course, every nation is going to back their own offering when it comes to areas such as breakfast. In our unbiased opinion, a full English could not hold a candle to its Irish equivalent.<\/p>\n
