{"id":538787,"date":"2026-07-08T06:57:14","date_gmt":"2026-07-08T06:57:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/538787\/"},"modified":"2026-07-08T06:57:14","modified_gmt":"2026-07-08T06:57:14","slug":"ireland-still-falling-behind-on-climate-targets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/538787\/","title":{"rendered":"Ireland still falling behind on climate targets"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Ireland is continuing to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions, but the pace of progress is still not enough to meet the country\u2019s climate commitments.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">The latest figures from the Environmental Protection Agency show emissions fell by 2.2 percent during 2025, marking the fourth year in a row that pollution levels have decreased.<\/p>\n<p class=\"isSelectedEnd\">Despite that improvement, the EPA says Ireland remains significantly behind where it needs to be.
