Coronation Street<\/a> star Jack P Shepherd<\/a> has shared an exciting update, with his son following in his career footsteps. The star, who recently welcomed a baby daughter<\/a> with wife Hanni, shares two kids with former girlfriend Lauren Shippey, Reuben and Nyla-Rae, and one child with former partner Sammy Milewski, Greyson.<\/p>\n

Speaking about son Reuben recently on podcast On the Sofa<\/a>, the star beamed about his role in a Manchester-based musical.<\/p>\n

“He’s got a part in a new musical,” he said. “Well, it’s a new musical coming to Manchester… It’s called Fun Home. It’s a coming-of-age sort of story about kids growing up in this funeral home.<\/p>\n

“He’s playing one of the kids. Yeah, he’s got a part, and it’s a month run at the Royal Exchange in Manchester.”<\/p>\n

Jack added that Reuben is “buzzing”, further sharing: “I’ve taken him to a few of the rehearsals last weekend, and he has to be there 10 until five. It’s a full job!”<\/p>\n

Posting about the show earlier this week on Instagram<\/a>, Jack shared: “Went to see Reuben as John in The Fun Home the show runs for a month at @royalexchangemanchester if you can, go see it. Fantastic performances, in particular Alex Young is flawless and Nigel Harman is superb\u2026 brace yourself though. It\u2019s very emotional.”<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Jack recently confirmed the birth of his new daughter, Constance Ita Shepherd, and opened up about how they came up with the name<\/a>.<\/p>\n

“What you do is when you’re picking names, you Google,” he told On the Sofa. “You’ll go French names, Italian names, something that’s a bit, you know, European and posh. That’s what we were thinking.”<\/p>\n

He explained that they were looking for something “unusual”, revealing: “Constance came up and it was probably the only one that we both agreed on.”<\/p>\n

Pressed on whether they had a boy’s name in mind in case the baby was male, Jack shared: “Yes. I don’t want to reveal my name and someone steals it. Even though I am fully aware there is still one other in the world.”<\/p>\n

Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX<\/a>.<\/p>\n
