{"id":539456,"date":"2026-07-08T15:57:08","date_gmt":"2026-07-08T15:57:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/539456\/"},"modified":"2026-07-08T15:57:08","modified_gmt":"2026-07-08T15:57:08","slug":"corks-colm-lyons-to-referee-all-ireland-hurling-final-the-irish-times","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/539456\/","title":{"rendered":"Cork\u2019s Colm Lyons to referee All-Ireland hurling final \u2013 The Irish Times"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/cork-gaa\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/cork-gaa\/\">Cork<\/a>\u2019s Colm Lyons will referee the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/hurling-championship\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/hurling-championship\/\">All-Ireland Senior Hurling Final<\/a> between <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/limerick-gaa\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/limerick-gaa\/\">Limerick<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/galway-gaa\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.irishtimes.com\/tags\/galway-gaa\/\">Galway<\/a> on Sunday, July 19th.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">It will Lyons\u2019s second time officiating a senior All-Ireland decider having previously taken charge of the 2022 final when Limerick beat Kilkenny.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">The Nemo Rangers clubman also refereed the drawn 2012 All-Ireland minor hurling final between Tipperary and Dublin, as well as the All-Ireland senior club hurling deciders in 2018 and 2020.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">This year\u2019s final will be his 39th outing as referee in the All-Ireland SHC having made his debut in 2012.<\/p>\n<p class=\"c-paragraph paywall \">Lyons has already refereed both Limerick and Galway during this year\u2019s championship.
