I am not clear on why the Emmy livestream cuts itself short by failing to reveal the nominees for Best Supporting Actor and Best Supporting Actress in the Drama and Comedy categories, since they include some of the best performances of the bunch, even if they\u2019re not the leads. Fans are invested in those shows and characters, but you have to go searching after the fact<\/a> for them. So, here they are:<\/p>\n Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama SeriesPatrick Ball \u2013 The PittBilly Crudup \u2013 The Morning ShowShawn Hatosy \u2013 The PittGerran Howell \u2013 The PittJack Lowden \u2013 Slow HorsesTom Pelphrey \u2013 TaskCarlos-Manuel Vesga \u2013 Pluribus<\/p>\n No big surprise here that this is stacked with half Pitt cast members. My pick would actually be Tom Pelphrey from Task, who has been an extremely underrated actor for some time, and this is one of his best performances.<\/p>\n Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama SeriesTaylor Dearden \u2013 The PittFiona Dourif \u2013 The PittAllison Janney \u2013 The DiplomatKatherine LaNasa \u2013 The PittSepideh Moafi \u2013 The PittJulianne Nicholson \u2013 ParadiseKarolina Wydra \u2013 Pluribus<\/p>\n Katherine LaNasa took it last year, and again, we have 4\/6 Pitt nominees here. I could see LaNasa taking it again, and either way, I doubt it goes outside the Pitt circle.<\/p>\n Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy SeriesColman Domingo \u2013 The Four SeasonsPaul W. Downs \u2013 HacksHarrison Ford \u2013 ShrinkingNick Offerman \u2013 Margo\u2019s Got Money TroublesStephen Root \u2013 Widow\u2019s BayMichael Urie \u2013 ShrinkingTyler James Williams \u2013 Abbott Elementary<\/p>\n Without question, I vote for Harrison Ford in this category, whose performance in Shrinking has been one of the best I\u2019ve seen in years. That\u2019s especially true this season as he maintains his sense of humor after suffering from the effects of Parkinson\u2019s disease.<\/p>\n Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy SeriesDale Dickey \u2013 Widow\u2019s BayHannah Einbinder \u2013 HacksJanelle James \u2013 Abbott ElementaryKate O\u2019Flynn \u2013 Widow\u2019s BayMichelle Pfeiffer \u2013 Margo\u2019s Got Money TroublesMegan Stalter \u2013 HacksJessica Williams \u2013 Shrinking<\/p>\n The absolute fan-favorite pick here is going to be the breakout, hilarious, amazing performance from Kate O\u2019Flynn in Widow\u2019s Bay, who led at least two episodes herself, and they were two of the best in the series. Of course, this being Hacks\u2019 final season and Jean Smart inevitably winning Best Actress, it will be Hannah Einbinder.
