Coronation Street<\/a> star Beth Nixon has shared a final goodbye to her character Megan Walsh after the villain was finally served justice<\/a>. In last week’s scenes, which followed a week-long court trial<\/a> over her grooming of teen Will Driscoll, Megan was found guilty.<\/p>\n

With her exit now confirmed, Beth has shared a new Instagram<\/a> post with a sweet dedication to her soap colleagues, sharing a reel of behind-the-scenes photos.<\/p>\n

“Megan, you’re a cow and I’ll miss you like a hole in the head,” Beth wrote in the caption. “Thank you thank you thank you to every single person at @coronationstreet you’ve changed my life! Peace out.”<\/p>\n

The star received some lovely comments from her co-stars, with Jude Riordan \u2013 whose character Sam Blakeman notably clashed with Megan \u2013 supportively writing: “Yes Beth.”<\/p>\n

Farrel Hegarty (Lou Michaelis) said: “Amazing you are,” while Sydney Martin (Betsy Swain) shared: “You are just incredible can\u2019t wait to watch you soar xxx.” “We love you! Outstanding!!!!” added Catherine Tyldesley (Eva Price).<\/p>\n

Opening up about her departure<\/a> following the verdict scenes, Beth told Inside Soap’s Soap Scoop podcast<\/a>: “When I first took the role we didn’t know fully what was going to happen, how long it was going to be and how long she was going to be there for. But it was always that she wasn’t ever going to escape justice by being killed or anything like that.<\/p>\n

“We always knew that she was going to serve her time. It shows the whole process of it. It’s quite nice, because it’s showing what all the family are going through \u2013 how they’re supporting Will and how it’s affecting them.”<\/p>\n

The star added: “It’s definitely important to show that, if you are being abused, then you can get justice. It’s really hard because it doesn’t always happen that way. <\/p>\n

“But when [Corrie boss] Kate Brooks and the storyliners were making the story, there’s been a few cases recently where it’s happened and the victims have got justice.”<\/p>\n
