The children of Katie Price, Junior and Princess Andre, have told of “the most difficult time in our lives” during her public breakdown in 2018.<\/p>\n
Price, 48, has led a turbulent life in the public eye over the past three decades, having first risen to fame under her alter ego Jordan as a page three girl in 1996.<\/p>\n
The model has suffered from several major mental breakdowns \u2013 most notably in 2018 and 2021 \u2013 which resulted in severe depression, and she has previously said her struggles were exacerbated by constant media scrutiny.<\/p>\n
Appearing in her new documentary, Katie Price: Nothing To Hide, the two children she shares with ex-husband and singer Peter Andre have opened up about living with their mother when she “wasn’t in the right headspace”.<\/p>\n
Junior, 21, and Princess, 19, recounted the period during which Price was struggling with her mental health after splitting from her third husband Kieran Hayler amid his infidelity.<\/p>\n
Junior said: “When (Kieran Hayler) cheated on her the first time, that literally broke her.”<\/p>\n
“That was probably the most difficult time of my life \u2013 of our lives \u2013 probably,” he continued, referring to himself and his younger sister.<\/p>\n

Princess added: “I felt like I didn\u2019t know what was going on and I couldn\u2019t talk to mum about it, because she wasn\u2019t there.”<\/p>\n
The teenager, who is now a reality star and TV personality, also recalled how “lonely” she felt during this time, and said: “(Price) would give me a blanket and she sprayed all her perfume on it, and that was my attachment to mum.<\/p>\n
“I remember after school, I used to go home and just feel so lonely.<\/p>\n
“I used to just cuddle to the blanket and just cry.”<\/p>\n
Junior added that he chose to live with his father, Mysterious Girl singer Andre, during his teenage years as his mother “wasn\u2019t in the right headspace” and “wasn\u2019t being a mum”.<\/p>\n
Junior continued: “She wasn\u2019t being the mum that I knew from when I was a little boy.<\/p>\n
“The amount of love she gave me was so immense and that\u2019s what I missed so much.<\/p>\n
“Mum was on drugs, and she could not look after us, and that\u2019s the reality of it. She couldn\u2019t. And then I got fed up. I clocked on that this was a very unhealthy environment, and I needed to get out.<\/p>\n
“Thank God my dad was stable, because that\u2019s the house I went to and gained my sanity back.<\/p>\n
“It made me feel like I wasn\u2019t good enough, because she wasn\u2019t fixing herself for me, she wasn\u2019t fixing herself for us.”<\/p>\n
Prior to that, Junior said growing up in separate households was “actually really fun”.<\/p>\n
He said: “Mum is a very fun mum. Very loving, in her own way.<\/p>\n
“There weren\u2019t really many rules, just imagine kids running around, high on sugar.”<\/p>\n

\nOn 11 May 2009, Peter Andre and Katie announced they were separating after about four and a half years of marriage<\/p>\n
Princess added: “We never did anything to cross boundaries but, mum didn\u2019t really have any boundaries to cross.<\/p>\n
“You never have a boring day with her, there is always something going on in her life.”<\/p>\n
Junior praised their father for giving them rules and routine, adding that it kept their “sanity”.<\/p>\n
The mother-of-five stars in the four-part series, produced by Louis Theroux\u2019s Mindhouse production company.<\/p>\n
Price has recently remarried to Lee Andrews, which has brought a fresh wave of drama as he is reportedly believed to have been detained by Dubai authorities.<\/p>\n
Despite this, she says she has hit the reset button on her life and is now the best version of herself.<\/p>\n
She previously told the Press Association: “I\u2019ve been on a rollercoaster journey, and there\u2019s so much that\u2019s been written about me over the years.<\/p>\n
“People believe everything. They all think they know me. I know I\u2019ve done reality shows, and don\u2019t get me wrong, I\u2019m an open book, and people do know a lot about me, but the question is: do they know everything? And the answer is no, they don\u2019t.”<\/p>\n
