\n\tLL Cool J<\/a> added to the enigmatic lore of Ol\u2019 Dirty Bastard<\/a> when recalling a time that ODB urinated on his plaques at a New York City studio. <\/p>\n

\n\tLL joined SiriusXM\u2019s Salute the Sample on Thursday (July 8), where he recounted getting one of the more bizarre phone calls in his life, which found the late Wu-Tang Clan <\/a>rapper in a rage. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI remember one time Chris Lighty called me up. He was like, \u2018Yo, you gotta come down here. You gotta come to Chung King Studios,’\u201d he said. \u201c\u2018For some reason, Ol\u2019 Dirty Bastard just came in here, broke all your plaques and pissed on \u2019em.’\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWhile others would\u2019ve been angry at the situation, LL could only laugh, as some things aren\u2019t meant to be understood when it comes to ODB. The plaque smashing somehow even added to their friendship. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI said, \u2018What I do?\u2019 I didn\u2019t even understand it,\u201d he continued. \u201cI couldn\u2019t understand it. Loved him ever since. Shout out to Ol\u2019 Dirty, man!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBefore his death, Chris Lighty provided more context on ODB\u2019s outburst at Chung King Studios in an interview with Stuff Magazine<\/a> in 2006. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201c[Ol\u2019 Dirty Bastard] came through twisted. He was talking gibberish on his rhyme and then gets mad at us because we weren\u2019t gonna record him like that,\u201d he said. \u201cHe started ripping gold and platinum plaques off the wall. And he definitely pissed on one of the plaques.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe late music executive added: \u201cAt this point, he\u2019s off the Richter scale. The receptionist calls the police, so we get out of there. At the bottom of the elevator, he changes his whole tune. He was laughing his a\u2013 off!\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tODB died at 35 years old in November 2004 due to an accidental drug overdose after collapsing at RZA\u2019s recording studio in NYC.<\/p>\n

\n\tAs for LL Cool J, he\u2019s gearing up to host his Rock the Bells Festival<\/a>, which is slated to hit Long Island\u2019s UBS Arena on Aug. 15. A lineup for the festival is yet to be announced.<\/p>\n
