Harry Styles<\/a> has been given a gold Blue Peter badge by the long-running children\u2019s show, in acknowledgement of his record-breaking Wembley Stadium run.<\/p>\n

The \u2018As It Was\u2019 singer broke the record for the longest residency<\/a> by a musician at Wembley Stadium with his 12th show on July 4, and Blue Peter presenter Shini Muthukrishnan presented him with a special gold badge to commemorate the achievement.<\/p>\n

Blue Peter badges are given to viewers of the show, as well as guests, however a gold edition is reserved for outgoing presenters and guests who have done extraordinary things. Former recipients of the gold badge include Queen Elizabeth II, Steven Spielberg<\/a>, Captain Tom Moore, and Sir Paul McCartney<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Styles will be shown receiving the badge on the Friday July 10 episode of the show, where he will also answer readers\u2019 letters. In an official BBC press release<\/a> he was quoted expressing his gratitude. \u201cI grew up watching Blue Peter and I never thought I would get one of these\u2026This might be my proudest achievement,\u201d he said. \u201cIf you are watching Blue Peter, I wish you luck in all your future endeavours, keep dreaming, and treat people with kindness\u201d<\/p>\n

Beatles legend McCartney received his badge in 2019<\/a>, and reacted with similar enthusiasm. \u201cThat is beautiful, that\u2019s a great badge. I will wear it with great pride,\u201d he said, before adding: \u201cYes! I made it!\u201d<\/p>\n

The record-breaking 12th Wembley date of the \u2018Together Together\u2019 tour featured a Pride celebration<\/a>, where Styles performed alongside a group of drag queens and kings. There was also an appearance from his sister, Gemma, who gave an emotional message of congratulations on the feat.<\/p>\n
