research highlights need for stronger digital mental health supports for young people"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Research by the University of Galway has highlighted a need for better digital mental health supports for young people.<\/p>\n<p>The college, alongside Ulster University, has launched a policy brief on strenthening supports to better meet the needs of young people.<\/p>\n<p>It found young people are most likely to use digital tools which are recommended by trusted sources, are culturally relevant and are easy to navigate.<\/p>\n<p>However, it found there are gaps in digital mental health literacy, due to a lack of governance with the wider digital lanscape.<\/p>\n<p>Project lead, Dr Carmen Kealy, Health Promotion Research Centre, University of Galway, has been speaking
