Whether Hulu\u2019s cameras are rolling, the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives<\/a> stars remain messy. Mikayla Matthews has responded to her fellow SLOMW cast member Taylor Frankie Paul\u2019s recent angry Instagram posts<\/a>. In her posts, Paul, who is on a break from filming, called out the cast for making fun of her personal drama<\/a>. TFP even changed her Instagram bio to say \u201cCreator of Momtok,\u201d a title Matthews disputes. \u201cIt\u2019s honestly crazy that we\u2019re even arguing about who created what or who\u2019s more relevant,\u201d she wrote in an Instagram story. \u201cThis show was pitched to us, by the way (me, Mayci [Neeley], Whitney [Leavitt], and Taylor), about stay-at-home moms providing for their families and, of course, \u2018MomTok,\u2019 which we all know was started by Miranda [Hope], Camille, AND Taylor.\u201d The Camille she\u2019s referring to is influencer Camille Munday, who does not appear on SLOMW.<\/p>\n \u201cOf course the talks of a show came from the Mormon moms swinging drama being exposed online by Taylor (who wouldn\u2019t want to pick that shit up and watch it!?), and of course we\u2019ve gotten incredible opportunities since, but every single girl had to interview and was cast because of the value and vulnerability THEY brought to make this show what it is today,\u201d she continued. \u201cIf they wanted a show about one person or the swinging drama, they would\u2019ve done that.\u201d<\/p>\n In her posts, Paul included screenshots of text messages she claims to have received offering her various roles and appearances that would later go to her co-stars, including a spot on Dancing With the Stars<\/a>. Her post implied they only received offers because she turned them down. Matthews criticized Paul for posting antagonistically, saying she was using her larger following to attack the other cast members.<\/p>\n \u201cThrowing around the word \u2018bully,\u2019 but failing to acknowledge there has to be that power imbalance,\u201d Matthews wrote. \u201cConstantly threatening to \u2018f*ck someone up\u2019 or ruin their life publicly and using your much bigger platform to send hate to them for the sole reason of taking back that power. Or constantly reposting things and repeatedly pushing the narrative of, \u2018I\u2019m the reason you have this, You only got it cause I turned it down, I\u2019m a star and you\u2019re not as interesting. Don\u2019t forget it,\u2019 seems like weaponizing and manipulating your following to keep yourself in that power position to intimidate the people around you over and over.\u201d At this point, it seems irrelevant whether Paul and Matthews film scenes together for the upcoming SLOMW seasons.
