Still reeling from international mockery, the former prime minister found himself in the crosshairs of Enbridge CEO Greg Ebel.<\/p>\n

\u201cEverybody in the oil and gas business in Canada will do better,\u201d Ebel said, adding that just two years ago the Liberal government was \u201cactually trying to shut down the business.\u201d<\/p>\n

Among the more notable pipelines axed under recent Liberal governments are Northern Gateway, Keystone XL, and Energy East.<\/p>\n

Without naming Trudeau, Ebel quipped at an ATB-sponsored Calgary Stampede roundtable that \u201ca lot of those cats aren\u2019t around for all the right reasons,\u201d adding some were \u201cout doing top 40 things with Katy Perry.\u201d<\/p>\n

He suggested that was \u201cprobably a better use of time for that individual,\u201d earning a few chuckles from the audience and a brief round of applause.<\/p>\n
