<\/p>\nRangers have completed the signing of Cammy Devlin after the midfielder departed Hearts. <\/p>\n
The Australian has penned a two-year deal with the option of a further year at Ibrox, where he will link up with former Hearts boss Derek McInnes.<\/p>\n
The 28-year-old impressed under McInnes at Tynecastle; however, his five-year stay at the Edinburgh club is over after he failed to agree a new deal.<\/p>\n
Devlin made over 150 appearances for Hearts and was a key figure as the Edinburgh club recorded their highest Scottish Premiership points tally last season, as they were just pipped to the title by Celtic on the final day.<\/p>\n
Former Hearts captain Lawrence Shankland also left Hearts earlier this summer and joined McInnes at Rangers.<\/p>\n
Speaking to Rangers’ official channels about the move, Devlin said: “It feels amazing. I am obviously so happy to get it over the line; with the gaffer coming here and a lot of change happening at the club, it feels like a great time to be coming here.<\/p>\n

“It is just an absolute honour and privilege; I am so aware, being in Scotland for a while now, the size of the club and everything that comes with playing at such a massive football club.<\/p>\n
“To call myself a Rangers player now feels pretty special and I just cannot wait to get started.”<\/p>\n
McInnes added: “Cammy is obviously a player I know, and I am well aware of what he will offer to Rangers.<\/p>\n
“His levels of consistency for me were superb, and he is the type of player that every manager wants in his team.<\/p>\n
“He is someone who knows the Scottish league, and nothing will surprise him with what lies ahead. I am looking forward to welcoming Cammy to Rangers and working with him again after he returns from his holiday.”<\/p>\n
Rangers have been in talks over deals for other midfielders including Tromso’s Jens Hjert\u00f8-Dahl and Partizan Belgrade captain Vanja Dragojevic.<\/p>\n
