Met \u00c9ireann has issued another Status Yellow high temperature warning for 10 counties which will last until Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The new warning is set to come into effect as a previous Status Yellow high temperature warning currently in place for 13 counties<\/a> expires on Sunday afternoon.<\/p>\n

The current warning, in effect for counties Carlow, Cork, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Meath, Offaly, Westmeath, Wexford, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford, has been in place since 1pm on Friday and will stay active until 7am on Sunday.<\/p>\n

But on Saturday, Met \u00c9ireann <\/a>extended the high temperature warning for some counties until Sunday.<\/p>\n

The new warning will become valid at 1pm on Sunday and will remain in place until 7am on Tuesday. The warning was issued for Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary, Galway, Mayo, Kilkenny, Laois, and Offaly<\/p>\n

Issuing the warning Met \u00c9ireann forecasters said: \u201cMaximum temperatures in excess of 27\u00b0C combined with overnight temperature minimums in excess of 15\u00b0C.\u201d<\/p>\n

The weather office also said some potential impacts over Sunday and Monday include water safety issues due to increased use of lakes and beaches, uncomfortable sleeping conditions, heat stress, and the possibility of forest fires.<\/p>\n

Overall, forecasters shared: “Overview: The prolonged spell of very warm or hot weather will continue for much of next week. Nights will become very warm and humid too, with some tropical nights likely in parts. It’ll remain dry and sunny for most for much of the week, though with an increased chance of some showers or thunderstorms later in the week.”<\/p>\n
