At her worst point, she was unable to walk normally, but one year on, she’s turned a corner and is proud that she’s managed to get through it. <\/p>\n

Lisa documented her journey through a series of pictures and videos that show her struggling to walk. <\/p>\n
She wrote alongside the clips: ‘One year ago today my life changed completely.<\/p>\n
‘I was in hospital, losing the power in my legs. Looking back through these videos and photos now, I barely recognise the person I was. It honestly feels like I’m looking at somebody else.’<\/p>\n

Delving into that dark time, she admitted: ‘The last 12 months have been the toughest of my life.<\/p>\n
‘They’ve been filled with fear, uncertainty, setbacks and plenty of tears. Healing isn’t easy, and it certainly isn’t pretty… It’s messy.’<\/p>\n
Now she is making a choice to look at how far she’s come and is proud of herself for making it this far.<\/p>\n

‘I don’t say this very often, but I am so proud of myself. Proud of every setback I’ve overcome, every time I kept going when it would’ve been easier to give up, and proud that I never stopped fighting for myself and my two beautiful babies.’<\/p>\n
Reflecting on the last 12 months, she said: ‘This year has taught me so much about life, about what truly matters, and about the importance of never putting myself last.<\/p>\n
‘I may be a completely different person than I was this time last year, but I truly believe I’m a stronger, healthier and more resilient version of myself.’<\/p>\n
‘If you’re fighting your own battle, don’t lose hope. Keep going.
