You read that correctly.

You can watch the exchange below.

Lola: Do most people in Ireland speak Irish?

Sean: No. If you’re driving, it goes English, English, then the place where I’m living is the first place in the Gaeltacht.

Lola: Oh so you’re quite close to the border with England?

Sean: What?

Lola: Are you not?

Sean: Do you mean Northern Ireland?

Lola: No I meant England, because you said said it went ‘England, England, England’.

Sean: You do realise Ireland is its own country? And then there’s the United Kingdom? There’s water in between.

Lola: Oh yeah I forgot about the water. You said ‘when you’re driving it’s England, England, Ireland’.

Sean: I said English, as in speaking language, then Irish.

Lola: I thought you meant like the country.

Sean: How did you think Ireland and England were together?

Lola: I did.

Incredible stuff.

In fairness, Lola would go on to say she previously thought Norwich and Norway were the same place, so it is not only her knowledge on the geography of Ireland that is limited.

Perhaps once Love Island does end, Fitzgerald can show her that a trip on a plane or ferry will be required is she plans on visiting the country.

[2
61,60,43
post-546503","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-ireland","tag-ie","tag-ireland","tag-news
["GET
