Understanding what Link Charges are used for is very important if you want to use Mega Evolved Pok\u00e9mon, especially since a number of the Mega Evolutions<\/a> are amongst the ranks of the best Pok\u00e9mon<\/a> in Pok\u00e9mon Go<\/a>. (Looking at you Mega Rayquaza<\/a>.)<\/p>\n

What are Link Charges in Pok\u00e9mon Go?<\/p>\n

Link Charges are used to enter Mega Raids and Super Mega Raids in Pok\u00e9mon Go. Though, if you don’t have any Link Charges, you can still use a Premium Battle Pass. You must make your choice of raid-access-currency before joining the lobby, and this is when you’ll use it. It’s also important to note that you will get more value for your Link Charges when attending these raids in person; a regular in-person Mega Raid<\/a>, for example, costs 150 Link Charges.<\/p>\n

If you’re joining a Super Mega Raid<\/a> remotely, you will need a Remote Raid Pass<\/a> and 200 Link Charges. Joining a regular Mega Raid remotely still only requires a Remote Raid Pass.<\/p>\n

Link Charges are kept in the Link Holder, which can hold a maximum of 600 Link Charges. You’ll automatically receive the Link Holder after obtaining your first Link Charges. It can be found in the ‘Key Item’ section of your ‘Item Storage’ and keeps track of how many Link Charges you currently have. (It’s also impossible to delete, so don’t worry about losing it.)<\/p>\n
