Charli XCX<\/a> debuted new songs from \u2018Music, Fashion, Film<\/a>\u2018 at a surprise Brooklyn gig this weekend \u2013 check out footage below.<\/p>\n

The upcoming album, which includes recent singles \u2018Wink Wink<\/a>\u2018, \u2018Rock Music<\/a>\u2019, and \u2018SS26<\/a>\u2018, is set to land on July 24, and you can pre-order it here<\/a>.\u00a0On Friday (July 10), Charli performed a handful of tracks from the LP live for the first time during an intimate pop-up gig at Brooklyn\u2019s Music Hall of Williamsburg.<\/p>\n

Charli opened the show with three live debuts from \u2018Music, Fashion, Film\u2019, playing \u2018Playboy Bunny\u2019, \u2018SS26\u2019, and \u2018Camera\u2019, and later played the unreleased track \u2018Take Away the Music\u2019 for the first time.<\/p>\n

The gig also saw her joined by three guests, with Underscores<\/a> being the first to take to the stage and perform their own track \u2018Music\u2019 with Charli.\u00a0Later, Kim Petras<\/a> appeared to perform \u2018Jeep\u2019, before Clairo<\/a> closed out the surprises with a rendition of \u2018Sofia\u2019.<\/p>\n

Charli also played some fan-favourites, including \u2018Anthems\u2019, \u2018Pink Diamond\u2019, \u2018party 4 u\u2019 and \u2018Brat<\/a>\u2018 track \u2018Apple\u2019, and closed out the show with \u2018Wink Wink\u2019 and \u2018Rock Music\u2019.<\/p>\n

Earlier this week, Charli shared the tracklist for \u2018Music, Fashion, Film\u2018, which includes a collaboration with film director David Cronenberg<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The album\u2019s black and white cover is shot by Aidan Zamiri, and sees\u00a0John Cale<\/a>, Marc Jacobs, and\u00a0Martin Scorsese<\/a>\u00a0posing together.<\/p>\n

In an interview this year, the artist told\u00a0British Vogue\u00a0some of the lyrics to \u2018Rock Music\u2019\u00a0<\/a>\u2013 prompting speculation that the album would take a heavier direction.<\/p>\n

Charli later clarified<\/a>\u00a0that she \u201cnever said\u201d she was making a rock album, but previously made it clear that she was\u00a0distancing herself from the sound of \u2018Brat\u2019<\/a>, her seminal 2024 record.<\/p>\n

This week, a series of album listening parties will be held across independent cinemas in cities across the globe<\/a>.<\/p>\n

She later opened up about hanging out with\u00a0the Queen of Pop saying she \u201cfound it very inspiring\u201d<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Charli also recently talked about\u00a0her mental health struggles, saying she has difficulty coming to terms with online discourse about her<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am finding it tough to \u2026 I don\u2019t know,\u201d she said at the time. \u201cI\u2019m finding my emotions are very, very volatile at the minute, I\u2019ll be honest.\u201d<\/p>\n
