Mick Jagger<\/a> recently said that fans aren\u2019t interested in political lectures when asked about Bruce Springsteen<\/a>\u2018s anti-Donald Trump<\/a> messages at concerts.<\/p>\n During an interview on The New York Times\u2018 podcast The Interview<\/a>, the Rolling Stones frontman spoke with host David Marchese on a wide variety of topics.<\/p>\n Jagger, 82, was asked at one point about his relationship with crowds during a concert. Marchese mentioned Bob Dylan<\/a> on one side of the spectrum before pointing to Springsteen as an example of someone who \u201cclearly sees his job as engaging in a meaningful back-and-forth with his audience.\u201d<\/p>\n To that, the \u201c(I Can\u2019t Get No) Satisfaction\u201d singer said, \u201cThe bottom line of my thing really is that my job in the live music world is, those people that come, is to have the best time they possibly can.\u201d<\/p>\n Jagger explained, \u201cFor two hours or whatever it is, to forget all their problems and the problems of the world and their mortgages and whatever, just to give them the best time they can have.\u201d<\/p>\n Additionally, Jagger pointed out, \u201cYou don\u2019t want to lecture them.\u201d<\/p>\n \u00a0<\/p>\n Springsteen, meanwhile, slammed President Trump, 80, during a concert in Minneapolis in April, declaring, \u201cThis White House is destroying the American idea and our reputation around the world,\u201d per Time<\/a>.<\/p>\n The \u201cBorn in the U.S.A.\u201d singer, 76, continued, \u201cWe are no longer the land of the free and the home of the brave. We are now, to many, America the reckless, unpredictable, predatory rogue nation. That is this administration\u2019s and this president\u2019s legacy. This is happening now.
