Emmerdale<\/a> star Isabel Hodgins returned to the set of the ITV soap<\/a> for a very special reason on Saturday (11 July), as she showed her husband and new-born daughter around the Dales.<\/p>\n

The actor, who plays Victoria Sugden, is currently on maternity leave from the series having given birth to a baby girl<\/a>, Georgie, in February. It’s her first child with Adam Whitehead, whom she married last year.<\/p>\n

Despite her break, she did return to the set over the weekend to introduce Adam and Georgie to her workplace. She shared a video to her Instagram<\/a> account, where she was seen in football fever as she donned an England jersey.<\/p>\n

“Yesterday was special \u2764\ufe0f,” wrote the actor in the caption. “For the first time, I got to show Georgie (and Adam) around the village that’s been such a huge part of my life.”<\/p>\n

“I’ve been lucky enough to call this place work since I was 12 years old, so sharing it with my little family meant so much. GG’s verdict? She’d quite happily move in \ud83e\udd79,” she added. <\/p>\n

The post also contained a video montage of Isabel on the set, as she visited the grave of Jack Sugden and walked across the iconic bridge. She also enjoyed an ice cream in the hot weather, while Adam had a grand time at the park.<\/p>\n

Adam responded to the post in the comment section as he wrote “our little team”, while another follower noted: “As you were walking around the village, I was expecting Robert to show up and give his sister a big hug.”<\/p>\n

“Marking 20 years you been in it and what a lucky lady you are to be in such a beautiful village surrounded with stunning countryside!” wrote another fan, while several asked when the actor would be returning to the soap.<\/p>\n

We don’t exactly know when Isabel will be making her comeback as Victoria, though the actor did shed some light on her return process<\/a> earlier this year. She said she had a month in mind, but added that nothing was set in stone.<\/p>\n

“To be honest, I still don’t know when I’m going back,” she said in June. “In my ideal world, it would be September. And then it’s all systems go. [That’s when] it really starts with the juggling and potential mum guilt, and whatever.”<\/p>\n

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX<\/a>.<\/p>\n
