In a pre-emptive deal, Sony\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/tristar-pictures\/\" id=\"auto-tag_tristar-pictures\" data-tag=\"tristar-pictures\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">TriStar Pictures<\/a> has swooped in to acquire feature film rights to Henderson\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/cartoon-cat\/\" id=\"auto-tag_cartoon-cat\" data-tag=\"cartoon-cat\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Cartoon Cat<\/a> following.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tThis sale marks the second feature deal for Henderson in as many weeks following the five-way studio bidding war for his Siren Head creature, which landed at WB with Zach Cregger and Brian Duffield co-writing and Duffield directing.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tRoy Lee, Steven Schneider, Scott Glassgold and J. Todd Harris,\u00a0along with Thomas Pettinelli and Marc Marcum are producing. Lee and Glassgold will also be involved in producing Siren Head.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tHenderson, a respected creature designer whose work has received billions of views online, has found fresh interest from Hollywood in the wake of Kane Parsons\u2019 Backrooms and Markiplier\u2019s Iron Lung. In fact, it was Markiplier who was an early booster for Henderson and his Siren Head that helped kickstart Henderson\u2019s rabid following.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tTriStar is said to be looking to hit the ground running on the filmmaker search to bring Cartoon Cat to life. The menacing cat is described as an ancient hollow rot that uses the collective human awareness and memories of old cartoons as a passageway to manifest into our reality \u2014 and wreak violent havoc.
