I, Jack Wright, the Agatha Christie-esque murder-mystery series, has confirmed its BBC release schedule. The thriller premiered in April 2025 on U&Alibi and is now available on BBC One and BBC iPlayer following the broadcaster’s acquisition of the series.<\/p>\n

Written by Unforgotten boss Chris Lang, I, Jack Wright follows the aftermath of a millionaire’s apparent suicide, as greed, loyalty, suspicion, and a family mystery unfold. <\/p>\n

Boasting an impressive cast, the drama stars Nikki Amuka-Bird, John Simm, Daniel Rigby, Ruby Ashbourne Serkis, Zo\u00eb Tapper, Percelle Ascott, Harry Lloyd and Liz Kingsman. <\/p>\n

The synopsis reads: “I, Jack Wright, is a propulsive whodunnit with family secrets at its core. The apparent death by suicide of high-powered businessman Jack Wright sends shockwaves through his family, leaving a mystery that pits greed, loyalty and suspicion against one another.<\/p>\n

“As his many wives and children fight over the remains of his estate, a dogged police detective investigates \u2013 and uncovers the shocking truth about this well-heeled clan.”<\/p>\n

Episodes one and two have already aired on BBC One, but viewers can catch up on BBC iPlayer. Episode three will air on BBC One today at 21.15, followed by episode four at 22.40. <\/p>\n

The action will wrap up in another double bill, with episodes five and six airing on Monday, 20 July, at 21.15 and 22.40.<\/p>\n

According to The Mirror<\/a>, season two is already in production, with Nikki Amuka-Bird reprising her role as Sally Wright alongside John Simm as Gray Wright. <\/p>\n

Also returning to the series are Ashbourne Serkis as Emily Wright, Rigby as John Wright and Lloyd as DCI Morgan. <\/p>\n

Meanwhile, new additions to the cast include Rematch actor Tom Austen and Hijack’s Zora Bishop, who join for season two.<\/p>\n

The BBC has acquired series one and two of I, Jack Wright, which will also be shown on the channel, though a release schedule for the second season has yet to be announced. <\/p>\n
