We don&#8217;t want to cause any neighbourhood disputes here. People can contact us and we will follow up with individuals,\u201d she told Newstalk Breakfast with Anton Savage.<\/p>\n<p>Uisce \u00c9ireann is also appealing to people to check for leaks and to refrain from doing things like washing their car and watering their lawn.<\/p>\n<p>A six-week <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breakingnews.ie\/ireland\/warm-weather-to-continue-this-week-with-new-yellow-warning-in-place-1926091.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">hosepipe ban<\/a> will be introduced for six counties from Thursday, 16th July.<\/p>\n<p>The hosepipe ban will apply in Dublin, parts of Kildare, Meath, Wicklow, South Tipperary and parts of Wexford.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf people want to find out if their area is included in the hosepipe ban, in the water conservation order, there are maps available on our website and by going on to our website and putting in your code, you&#8217;ll understand whether you&#8217;re included in the area of the hosepipe ban or not.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Attridge explained that the hosepipe ban precludes the use of a hosepipe to water the garden, clean the car, fill a paddling pool or an ornate pond that does not include fish.<\/p>\n<p><a class=\"not-prose no-underline\" data-action=\"click\" data-category=\"Read more article clicked\" data-label=\"https:\/\/www.breakingnews.ie\/ireland\/yellow-high-temperature-warning-issued-for-most-of-the-country-until-friday-1926564.html\" data-value=\"1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.breakingnews.ie\/ireland\/yellow-high-temperature-warning-issued-for-most-of-the-country-until-friday-1926564.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\"><\/p>\n<p>        <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/07\/sun-pics-28-e1783699313345.jpg\" class=\"rounded-sm object-contain bg-transparent z-10 w-full h-full not-prose\" alt=\"Yellow High Temperature Warning Issued For Most Of The Country Until Friday\" width=\"278\" height=\"156\" \/><\/p>\n<p>        Ireland<\/p>\n<p>Yellow high temperature warning issued for most of the country until Friday<\/p>\n<p><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There were other ways to water the garden, she said. There was expert advice available around using watering cans and focusing the watering on the root zone and carrying out the watering early in the morning or late in the evening, so there&#8217;s less evaporation.<\/p>\n<p>A lot of water is wasted on non-essential purposes, she added. That was why the hosepipe ban and water conservation measures were being introduced \u201cso that we can all work together to protect water for essential purposes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt could get to the stage where the communities that these people live in are put on night-time restrictions.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;That the service to their community, to hospitals in their community, to care homes in their communities, does get impacted.
