An Irish hotel that recently underwent an \u20ac8M renovation has been named as one of the best resorts in the UK and Ireland.<\/p>\n

Hundreds of thousands of readers worldwide voted in the Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards for their favourite hotel that leaves the greatest impression on guests. <\/p>\n

The survey revealed as many as 207,000 readers voted out of 661,000 votes, for a five-star Kilkenny hotel as their favourite spot to unwind in.<\/p>\n

Mount Juliet Estate has been named the fourth Best Resort in the UK and Ireland in the reader-voted Travel + Leisure World’s Best Awards 2026, achieving an outstanding score of 96.00.<\/p>\n

Just months after completing its landmark \u20ac8 million restoration of the Manor House, the hotel has now received the coveted award.<\/p>\n

The recognition follows a transformative investment that has carefully restored the heart of one of Ireland’s most distinguished country estates. <\/p>\n

Home to the Michelin-starred Lady Helen restaurant, Travel + Leisure described it as ‘the crown jewel of Mount Juliet Estate’s dining programme’.<\/p>\n

In April, EVOKE was invited down to the Estate for a first look<\/a> since undergoing extensive renovations.<\/p>\n

Speaking on the restoration, owner Catherine English said: ‘Houses have personalities, particularly historic houses like The Manor at Mount Juliet Estate, which dates back to 1757.<\/p>\n

\u2018The walls of The Manor have absorbed so much of the life lived within and around them in a way that you sense a happy history the moment you walk in.<\/p>\n

‘When we originally tendered, we had seen the house as a gracious elderly lady, the edges of the house a little worn over time, considering she\u2019s well into her third century.<\/p>\n
