Since starring as General Hux in a trio of Star Wars films, Domhnall Gleeson<\/a> has become one of the more popular actors working in Hollywood today. However, he blossomed into a star long before he ever joined George Lucas\u2019 massive science fantasy franchise with roles in Anna Karenina, About Time<\/a>, Frank<\/a>, and Ex Machina<\/a>. Since leaving the Star Wars franchise behind in 2019\u2019s The Rise of Skywalker, Gleeson has starred in some of the biggest projects on streaming, such as Fountain of Youth<\/a>, the action adventure epic from director Guy Ritchie<\/a>. More than a year removed from the film\u2019s release, it\u2019s still charting in the Apple TV global top 10. Gleeson has even found himself in the lead role of the Peacock<\/a> original series, The Paper<\/a>, which is a reboot of one of the most popular sitcoms of all time, The Office<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Peacock has already confirmed that The Paper Season 2 is coming later this year, but Gleeson has another project on the horizon that just got an exciting new update. Gleeson has been tapped to star alongside Gayle Rankin, Grant O\u2019Rourke, Emun Elliot, Michelle Gomez<\/a>, and John Hannah<\/a> in The Incomer<\/a>, the new comedy coming to theaters on September 25. After winning the Next Innovator Award at the 2026 Sundance Film Festival<\/a>, Sumerian Pictures released the first official trailer for The Incomer this morning, also confirming its R-rating and 102-minute runtime. Gleeson\u2019s new comedy also holds a Certified Fresh 92% from critics on the aggregate site Rotten Tomatoes<\/a>, and this comes from 37 reviews, so while it is subject to change, it likely won\u2019t move much in either direction.<\/p>\n
