On Saturday, we saw the Connacht side trounce Louth 3-23 to 0-15 at Croke Park, with Ryan O’Donoghue smashing over 1-11 of that score himself.

It’s the Yew County’s first All-Ireland final since 2021, and it’s possibly the last opportunity for the likes of Aidan O’Shea, who is now 36, and Kobe McDonald, the 18-year-old phenom who is set to move to Australia after next weekend to join St Kilda in the AFL.

Kobe McDonald celebrates after victory. And it was Clifford and the reigning champions who came out on top, 2-18 to 0-20.

It wasn’t without controversy as Dublin felt they had a goal not rewarded after the ball crossed the line and The Kingdom were wrongfully rewarded a goal after a square ball.

However, the final has been set and it’s now been decided who will be wearing their green jersey on July 26 at Croke Park, with one side needing to wear a changed kit because of the obvious clash.

Diarmuid O’Connor of Mayo during the Allianz Football League Division 1 match against Kerry.
