\n\tTeyana Taylor<\/a> was among the special guests at the finale <\/a>of Jay-Z\u2019s <\/a>Yankee Stadium residency.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tTaylor wasn\u2019t going to let audio issues ruin her memories of her moment on stage with Jay, during which she filled the Mary J. Blige<\/a> role, assisting on Reasonable Doubt\u2019s \u201cCan\u2019t Knock the Hustle.\u201d The Harlem native thanked Jay-Z for the opportunity and showed eternal gratitude to put the night in perspective with a heartfelt post to Instagram<\/a> Monday (July 13).\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe sound & in-ears said \u2018Not today.\u2019 But guess what?? The gratitude was louder than any mic could ever be. I may not have been able to hear a damnnnnn thanggggg. But one thing I could do was SEE. I got to see this lil Harlem girl stand beside the GOAT\u2026 in Yankee Stadium\u2026 in front of over 40,000 people who showed so much love,\u201d she reflected in the caption of her carousel post, which included photos and videos of her performance. \u201cIf you would\u2019ve told this lil Harlem girl that one day she\u2019d share a stage with JAY-Z in one of the most iconic stadiums in the world\u2026.she would\u2019ve never believed you.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cFather God has a funny way of reminding you just how far you\u2019ve come,\u201d she continued. \u201cOne minute you\u2019re caught up in everything that\u2019s going wrong\u2026 and the next, He gently reminds you that you\u2019re standing in the middle of a prayer you once whispered as a little girl in Jesus name, Amen.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tTaylor concluded: \u201cJay\u2026 THANK YOU @jayz for allowing me to be a part of such an iconic night. Thank you for the opportunity, the trust and the honor. \n\tSunday\u2019s show <\/a>got off to a rocky start with thousands stranded outside Yankee Stadium after the gates closed temporarily following a security breach, with unticketed fans rushing an entry point.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter delaying the show until just shy of 12:30 a.m. ET Monday (July 13), Hov brought out a star-studded cast of guests, as patience paid off for fans in attendance. In addition to Teyana Taylor, Hov invited Beyonc\u00e9<\/a>, Rihanna<\/a>, Clipse<\/a>, The-Dream<\/a>, Pharrell <\/a>and Jeezy<\/a> to join him on stage throughout the night.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tIt\u2019s been a busy last month for Teyana Taylor, who was honored with the Icon of the Year Award <\/a>at the 2026 BET Awards in June for her impact across music, fashion and film, which was presented by one of her heroes and primary influences in Janet Jackson.<\/a> She also took home an additional three BET Awards throughout the night.\u00a0<\/p>\n
