Sullivan’s Crossing is back on Netflix<\/a>, and it looks to be a success with viewers. As the soapy drama unveils its fourth season, the Canadian series has shot straight up the streamer’s<\/a> TV chart.<\/p>\n

The series<\/a> is based on Robyn Carr’s collection of novels, with the first season seeing neurosurgeon Maggie Sullivan (Morgan Kohan) return to her hometown in Nova Scotia as she attempts to reconnect with her estranged father (played by Scott Patterson).<\/p>\n

The romantic medical drama also sees One Tree Hill star Chad Michael Murray portray California ‘Cal’ Jones, with other cast members including Tom Jackson, Andrea Menard and Allan Hawco.<\/p>\n

At the time of writing, the series is currently at #10 in Netflix’s TV chart in the UK, which is currently topped by The Rest Is Football. At #2 is Little House on the Prairie, while I Will Find You is closely behind (via FlixPatrol<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The fourth season sees Maggie strive to come to terms with the reintroduction of her ex-partner, Liam (Marcus Rosner), who threatens her new relationship with Cal. With her newfound sense of peace on the line, to what extent does her past weigh her down?<\/p>\n

As per the logline (via Tudum<\/a>), Liam states that he’s only in town because he needs an annulment to his marriage, though the lingering tension between the former couple suggests that some things may be “unresolved”.<\/p>\n

“As Liam attempts to work his way back into Maggie\u2019s life, Cal steps in to defend his new relationship, and the two men butt heads over simple camp chores like chopping firewood,” teases the synopsis.<\/p>\n

In its review of the fourth season, Decider<\/a> wrote: “We think with the introduction of some new characters, Sullivan’s Crossing will get past the loss of Patterson and the full drift into Maggie’s love life, a plotline that just makes us shrug.”<\/p>\n

ScreenRant<\/a>, meanwhile, opined: “Rosner’s presence doesn’t overshadow anyone. In fact, Liam was just what Sullivan’s Crossing needed as he breathes new life into the series and reveals a new side of Maggie as well.”<\/p>\n
