{"id":550916,"date":"2026-07-15T12:19:08","date_gmt":"2026-07-15T12:19:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/550916\/"},"modified":"2026-07-15T12:19:08","modified_gmt":"2026-07-15T12:19:08","slug":"k-pop-group-big-bang-names-world-tour-xx-cosmos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/550916\/","title":{"rendered":"K-pop group Big Bang names world tour XX: Cosmos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text-primary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">SEOUL \u2013 K-pop boy band Big Bang on July 15 revealed XX: Cosmos as the title of its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.straitstimes.com\/life\/entertainment\/k-pop-boy-band-bigbang-to-perform-in-singapore-national-stadium-on-oct-17-as-part-of-reunion-tour?ref=inline-article\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" class=\"gap-x-04 items-center inline text-primary-60 select-auto\" aria-label=\"link\" target=\"_blank\" data-testid=\"custom-link\">upcoming world tour<\/a>, saying it symbolises the group\u2019s two-decade journey and the new chapter that lies ahead, YG Entertainment said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-primary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">The agency released posters announcing the tour dates and venues, with the Philippines capital Manila newly added to the itinerary.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-primary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">According to YG Entertainment, the bandmates themselves contributed ideas for the tour\u2019s title.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-primary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">The logo was unveiled in teaser posters released following <a href=\"https:\/\/www.straitstimes.com\/life\/entertainment\/k-pop-boy-band-big-bang-make-long-awaited-return-to-the-global-stage-at-coachella?ref=inline-article\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\" class=\"gap-x-04 items-center inline text-primary-60 select-auto\" aria-label=\"link\" target=\"_blank\" data-testid=\"custom-link\">the group\u2019s Coachella performance<\/a> in April.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-primary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">\u201c\u2019XX\u2019 symbolises the two decades Big Bang has shared with fans since its debut, while \u2018Cosmos\u2019 represents the universal principles of connection, relationships and continuity,\u201d YG Entertainment said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-primary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">\u201cThe title embodies Big Bang\u2019s 20-year musical journey along with fans, echoing the meaning of \u2018cosmos\u2019, as all that has existed, exists and will exist.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-primary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">The world tour kicks off with three days of concerts in Goyang Stadium in Gyeonggi Province, South Korea, from Aug 21 to 23, before heading to 19 cities worldwide for a total of 33 shows.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text-primary font-tertiary-body-baseline-regular\" data-testid=\"article-paragraph-annotation-test-id\">It marks Big Bang\u2019s first world tour in nine years, since the Last Dance world tour in 2017.
