For the first time since his disastrous UFC 329 leg injury<\/a> (not the broken leg from five years ago<\/a>) suffered versus Max Holloway, McGregor has gotten in front of a camera and addressed fans directly. On his 38th birthday, McGregor shares a sip of his energy drink with his wife before turning the camera on himself and promising fight fans that his career isn\u2019t over yet.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019ll be back,\u201d McGregor claims. \u201cIn the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen. Let\u2019s go.\u201d<\/p>\n

McGregor has already tweeted about his plan to return to action<\/a>, but it\u2019s nice to see McGregor on camera, looking reasonably healthy. So far, there has been no update on McGregor\u2019s specific injury or whether surgical intervention will be necessary. However, Dr. Brian Sutterer<\/a> posted his thoughts on the available footage and what it likely means for McGregor\u2019s injury.<\/p>\n

\u201cLack of a brace (assuming he didn\u2019t just take it off for the video) means no high grade collateral ligament injury (MCL\/LCL),\u201d Sutterer wrote on X<\/a>. \u201cMeans nothing about ACL and meniscus. Range of motion being at least 90 [degrees] of flexion and looking relatively comfortable is good.\u201d<\/p>\n

McGregor\u2019s best bet for a quick return would likely be a meniscus injury, which could see him on track for his planned April 2027 schedule.
