\n\tEXCLUSIVE: Oscar nominee Toni Collette<\/a> (Hereditary) will play Miss Marple in the latest starry Audible<\/a> Original, an adaptation of Agatha Christie<\/a>\u2018s classic mystery novel\u00a0The Murder At The Vicarage, which is releasing globally on 13th August, 2026.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\n\tAlongside Collette, Kit Harington<\/a> (Game of Thrones) will play Reverend Leonard Clement. The audio drama will also feature Calam Lynch (What It Feels Like for a Girl), Eliot Salt (Normal People), Jasmine Jobson (Top Boy), Katy Wix (Stath Lets Flats), Lolly Adefope (Ghosts), Billy Postlethwaite (Silo), Hugh Dennis (Outnumbered), Leo Reich (Too Much) and Vicki Pepperdine (Getting On).<\/p>\n

\n\tThe Murder at the Vicarage\u00a0is Christie\u2019s 1930 novel that introduced the world to beloved amateur detective Miss Marple. The project comes as a result of\u00a0Audible\u2019s ongoing production deal with Agatha Christie Limited.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe synopsis reads: \u201cIn the rural idyll of St Mary Mead, a murder has taken place. The despised Colonel Protheroe is found dead in the vicarage study by Reverend Leonard Clement (Kit Harington). Though the Colonel had many enemies, the violence of his death shocks the sleepy village and starts the tongues of the local gossips wagging. The first suspects are the Colonel\u2019s beautiful young wife, Anne, and her purported lover, handsome artist Lawrence Redding. But St Mary Mead is full of secrets, and the real killer could be anyone. Was it Protheroe\u2019s daughter, Lettice, set to inherit a fortune? Then there\u2019s Dr Stone, an archaeologist whose story isn\u2019t adding up, and Mrs Lestrange, a woman no one seems to know anything about. Even the Vicar\u2019s own wife could be a suspect. Miss Marple (Toni Collette) is the only person perceptive enough to see through the fa\u00e7ade of polite society \u2014 and once she turns her attention to someone, their true nature is fully exposed.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe adaptation has been written by writer and comedian Vicki Pepperdine and features an original score by Wasia Project. It is produced by Hat Trick Productions for Audible.<\/p>\n
