It reunites the actress with director Leitch after they worked together on The Fall Guy.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tStatham reunites with\u00a0Deadpool 2\u00a0and\u00a0Bullet Train\u00a0director Leitch after they teamed on Universal\u2019s box office hit\u00a0Fast &amp; Furious Presents: Hobbs &amp; Shaw.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tPlot details are being kept under wraps, but it\u2019ll see Statham \u201cin the role of a lifetime, playing global action superstar\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/tag\/jason-statham\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Jason Statham<\/a>\u201c. The big-budget project is said to include a number of action set pieces and is being conceived as a PG-13 with tongue firmly in cheek, per the movie\u2019s meta title.<\/p>\n<p class=\"paragraph larva \/\/ lrv-u-margin-lr-auto     \">\n\tBlack Bear and Leitch\u2019s 87North banner are behind the film and Black Bear is due to release in North America on August 6, 2027. Alison Flierl wrote the screenplay based on a story by Flierl and Scott Chernoff. Kelly McCormick and Leitch are producing the film alongside Statham for Punch Palace Productions, John Friedberg for Black Bear, and Meredith Berg and Ethan Erwin for Beryllium Entertainment.
