\n\tVincent D\u2019Onofrio (Daredevil: Born Again), Kate Mara<\/a> (A Teacher), Clancy Brown<\/a> (I Will Find You), Thomas Sadoski<\/a> (The Newsroom) and Jason Schwartzman<\/a> (Mountainhead) have signed on for roles in\u00a0The Roman<\/a>, Netflix<\/a>\u2018s Vegas drama series exec produced by and starring Oscar Isaac.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe actors join a cast that also includes Betty Gilpin, Alec Baldwin, David Costabile<\/a>, Shalom Brune-Franklin and Jimmy O. Yang<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tCreated by Brian Koppelman and David Levien (Billions,\u00a0Super Pumped), who also serve as showrunners and exec produce,\u00a0The Roman\u00a0is an hourlong drama set in the high-stakes, sharp-elbowed present-day Las Vegas casino business, which is a modernized but still dangerous version of the legendary city. At the center stands Robert \u201cBobby Red\u201d Redman (Isaac), president of the hottest hotel casino in town, who has to make some long-odds moves to try and secure his position and take more ground.<\/p>\n

\n\tA series regular, D\u2019Onofrio will play Dominic Ward. A powerful MMA mogul, Ward uses his \u201cknockout power\u201d to manipulate the casino bosses vying for his massive live events.<\/p>\n

\n\tMara will play the series-regular role of Holly Reeve, a sultry and highly educated entrepreneur who runs the city\u2019s most exclusive and discreet empire. She shares a deep, complicated history with Bobby.<\/p>\n

\n\tBoth Brown and Sadoski are set to recur. Brown plays Elwood, a weathered and imposing figure with deep ties to the desert landscape. He\u2019s is a man of few words and significant actions who knows exactly where the city\u2019s literal and metaphorical bodies are buried. Sadoski plays Chef Luca, a brilliant but self-destructive superstar chef whose personal entanglements and rock-star antics threaten to derail his high-end restaurant residency at\u00a0The Roman.<\/p>\n

\n\tSchwartzman will guest star as David Krupp, a clean-cut heir and \u201cfreshwater fish\u201d whose mounting casino debts thrust him into the high-pressure crosshairs of the Las Vegas elite.<\/p>\n

\n\tIsaac is exec producing The Roman alongside Koppelman and Levien, Martin Scorsese and Sikelia Productions, Julie Yorn and Rick Yorn for Expanded Media, Paul Schiff and Beth Schacter. JC Chandor is also exec producing and directing the first two episodes, with Kerry Orent aboard as co-EP.<\/p>\n
