Whoopsie-daisy! Yoo-hoo! Lana Del Rey<\/a> appears to have not one, but two new albums on the way. In an Instagram post<\/a> on July 15, Del Rey said that her long-forthcoming LP Stove<\/a> has a companion record, which she added will be completed in a month. She also appeared to reveal album artwork for both records, although she did not confirm a title for the companion album, or a release date for either. Pitchfork has reached out to her representatives for comment.<\/p>\n

In the post, Del Rey called the pair of albums \u201ctwo of my most beautiful pieces of work.\u201d \u201cStove is so lovely and intact as it was intended to be\u2014a classic album if I may say, a lot of of which we\u2019ve toured and you\u2019ve heard\u2013but not all of it,\u201d she added. \u201dAnd as the years went by, came a beautiful, secondary album\u2026 A commentary of sorts on everything that has been going on, and the patience that was required\u2014and the trust I had to have that not all the things that weren\u2019t working was just because of me.\u201d<\/p>\n

Del Rey first announced the follow-up to 2023\u2019s Did You Know That There\u2019s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd<\/a> in 2024. Since then, the album has allegedly undergone two name<\/a> changes<\/a> and experienced multiple delays. In the interim, she\u2019s released the songs \u201cTough<\/a>,\u201d \u201cHenry, Come On<\/a>,\u201d \u201cBluebird<\/a>,\u201d and \u201cWhite Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter<\/a>.\u201d She also teased more new music during a 2025 set at Stagecoach Festival<\/a>, and, just this April, wrote the theme song for a James Bond video game<\/a> called First Light.<\/p>\n

So much has happened over the last four years, so much time waiting for things to come together and so much time wondering if it was ok that things were falling apart. Patience was the key, and in between the songs came new thoughts about old friends and new dreams and from the doubt of whether the tree I had been planting would grow- came new sprouts and so grew a new rose bush underneath the willow-\u2026A large companion album, compiled by as many people as I could find to help me gather my thoughts about how much was changing.<\/p>\n

Stove is so lovely and intact as it was intended to be-a classic album if I may say, a lot of of which we\u2019ve toured and you\u2019ve heard \u2013 but not all of it. Thank you to everybody involved.
And as the years went by, came a beautiful, secondary album\u2026 A commentary of sorts on everything that has been going on, and the patience that was required- and the trust I had to have that not all the things that weren\u2019t working was just because of me. I\u2019m grateful for all my collaborators, I guess it took what it took to finish it. I need a month to finish putting it together, and then send my two albums to vinyl. Thank you for waiting. It certainly is two of my most beautiful pieces of work, rooted in what I thought would be made out of growth and joy but was peppered with a secondary compilation of songs that sprouted from doubt, hopefulness, and the understanding that new beginnings truly mean starting completely fresh and over. When life decides to send you down another river, it\u2019s really not your choice and it\u2019s truly an adventure of its own.<\/p>\n

I wrote about it. Now it\u2019s time to trust the process and go downstream. I\u2019m so grateful to everyone who\u2019s still on board with me. And of course, I wish the best to everyone who stayed on land. Of course I understand.<\/p>\n
