Phoebe Bridgers<\/a> is back at The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon<\/a>, this time for a surprise performance of \u201cLost Boys (Acoustic).\u201d<\/p>\n

The singer-songwriter returned to New York City\u2019s Rockefeller Center just 24 hours after her performance on Tuesday<\/a>, when she performed \u201cLost Boys<\/a>\u201d alongside young musicians ranging from eight to 14 years old. For the acoustic rendition \u2014 which she formally released tonight \u2014 she performed with a band of veteran musicians.<\/p>\n

Bridgers released \u201cLost Boys\u201d last month, with a Renaissance faire-themed video that featured actor Skyler Gisondo as a gas station cashier. Her\u00a0boygenius\u00a0<\/a>bandmates Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker provided backing vocals on the single, while Bridgers co-produced it alongside Jack Antonoff and her longtime collaborators Tony Berg and Ethan Gruska (Alex G also assisted with additional production).<\/p>\n

The single is the first taste of Lost Weekend, out Aug. 14 via Dead Oceans, three days before the songwriter\u2019s 32nd birthday. It\u2019s her first new solo album in six years, following 2020\u2019s Punisher<\/a>. One month after the album release, she\u2019ll embark on the Lost Tour<\/a>, kicking off on Sept. 15\u00a0in Indianapolis, Indiana. Here\u2019s everything we know about Lost Weekend.<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cI want to listen to music where nobody\u2019s ever said the exact way that I\u2019ve felt,\u201d Bridgers told us<\/a> in 2020. \u201cAnd then I listen to it, and I\u2019m like, \u2018Holy shit, they nailed it.\u2019 I hope I\u2019m doing that for people.\u201d<\/p>\n
