{"id":553417,"date":"2026-07-16T22:16:12","date_gmt":"2026-07-16T22:16:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/553417\/"},"modified":"2026-07-16T22:16:12","modified_gmt":"2026-07-16T22:16:12","slug":"kingsbridge-private-hospital-to-receive-e4-5m-upgrade","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/553417\/","title":{"rendered":"Kingsbridge Private Hospital to receive \u20ac4.5m upgrade"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Kingsbridge Private Hospital in Sligo is to benefit from a \u20ac4.5m investment.<\/p>\n<p>It will include a reconfiguration of services at the hospital, introducing advanced new diagnostic equipment, including significantly enhanced endoscopy systems with MRI and X-ray services on site, as well as a new CT scanner.<\/p>\n<p>A programme of works this summer will add a new theatre with enhanced infection control where all the main surgical specialties will be offered on a day case basis including\u00a0surgery for cataracts, urology and gynaecology.<\/p>\n<p>Kingsbridge Sligo will seek to mirror the HSE\u2019s model of smaller regional centres offering rapid access to high quality diagnostics and minimally invasive surgery with larger centres of excellence taking the more complex cases.<\/p>\n<p>Mark Regan, Chief Executive of Kingsbridge Healthcare Group, said; \u201cWhen upgrade works are complete, Kingsbridge Sligo will have some of the most advanced endoscopic diagnostic tools for gastrointestinal investigation on the island of Ireland, allowing physicians to detect cancers at an earlier stage.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Kingsbridge Private Hospital in Sligo is to benefit from a \u20ac4.5m investment.
