“It’s definitely been playing on all of our minds,” she said.<\/p>\n
“This year, we just had to regroup and there’s been a new energy in the group and it’s been great to see everyone pushing each other so hard at training as well.”<\/p>\n
Geraghty said she would take immense pride from the prospect of captaining her county in an All-Ireland final.<\/p>\n
“It’s amazing. All the girls are absolutely flying it and it’s just a really good group and hopefully we can go all the way,” she said.<\/p>\n
“It’s everything you could ever hope for. You want, when you’re playing football to be able to play in Croke Park and to play an All-Ireland final up there and hopefully get that win.”<\/p>\n
She was also pleased to see her team-mates handle the challenge of the conditions amid the heatwave that has left temperatures soaring.<\/p>\n
“It was really tough in that heat,” she said.<\/p>\n
“I suppose we just kept battling through but it was really tough. We were playing against the wind in that first half as well so it was just trying to tick over.<\/p>\n
