A Cork man accused of dealing \u201cpink cocaine\u201d that was allegedly thrown out the window of a caravan in the garden of a house being searched by garda\u00ed had the case against him adjourned until July 28.<\/p>\n
Anthony Walsh, aged 30, appeared in Cork District Court by video link from prison.<\/p>\n
Garda Tristan Loftus said: \u201cIt is alleged that at approximately 6.15pm on May 21, garda\u00ed executed a search warrant at 8 the Acre, Pouladuff Rd, Cork.<\/p>\n
\u201cGarda\u00ed located Anthony Walsh in a caravan at the rear of the premises. It was in the rear garden. A search of the caravan was carried out.<\/p>\n
\u201cGarda\u00ed observed Anthony Walsh throw a bag out the window of the caravan. This bag was retrieved, and a quantity of drugs was recovered.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe contents of the bag was suspected crack cocaine to the value \u20ac2,450, suspected diamorphine [heroin] to the value of \u20ac7,840, suspected pink cocaine \u20ac14,630. There was also cash, \u20ac1,435.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere was evidence of drug-dealing with weighing scales and deal bags located. Garda\u00ed believe that the cash is the proceeds of Anthony Walsh\u2019s drug dealing.\u201d<\/p>\n
As well as money laundering, Mr Walsh is charged with possession of each of the drugs for sale or supply.<\/p>\n
Sergeant John Dineen said the accused had a drug addiction.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Mr Walsh, of no fixed address, said in his unsuccessful application for bail: \u201cI just want to sort my addiction difficulties, I need to pull up my socks and get my act together and get treatment.
