Bono’s son John is following his sister Eve into the world of acting, as further casting details have been revealed for the upcoming series adaptation of the Cork-based Boys of Tommen books.<\/p>\n
Written by Cork author Chloe Walsh, the highly anticipated show has confirmed that Amy Huberman, Eoin Macken, and R\u00f3is\u00edn Gallagher are joining the cast as some of the leads\u2019 parents.<\/p>\n
Huberman will play Edel Kavanagh, Johnny\u2019s mother, while Macken and Gallagher will feature as Shannon\u2019s parents, Teddy and Marie.<\/p>\n
The \u2018Core 10\u2019 casting has also been completed, with Jamie Schneider joining as Patrick Feely, and James Craven will play Pierce O\u2019Neill.<\/p>\n
This followed previous casting announcements of Nancy Surridge and Conor S\u00e1nchez as the lead couple, Shannon and Johnny, who were cast in May after a widespread search.<\/p>\n
Also confirmed for parts are James O\u2019Donoghue (Joey Lynch) and Sophie McGibbon (Aoife Molloy), Amelia May (Claire Biggs), Indy Lewis (Lizzie Young), Alex Dunne (Hugh Biggs), Dixie Egerickx (Katie Wilmot), Daisy Jacob (Bella Wilkinson), Jonathan Heed (Cormac Ryan), Cathal \u00d3 S\u00edoch\u00e1in (Ronan McGarry), and Bono\u2019s son John Hewson, who plays Gerard Gibson.<\/p>\n
The series is now in production, directed by Corkman, the director of award-winning\u00a0 Christy,\u00a0Brendan Canty, and will premiere on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide.<\/p>\n
\n Boys of Tommen\u00a0follows the love story of Johnny Kavanagh, the star rugby player on the verge of a pro career, and Shannon Lynch, the talented but painfully shy new girl at the prestigious private school of Tommen College in Ballylaggin, Ireland.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Both teenagers are hiding secrets and through their secret and highly charged connection, the two teens from opposite worlds battle against the odds and find a way to save each other.<\/p>\n
The romantic drama series is being\u00a0adapted for the screen by the producers of\u00a0 The Summer I Turned Pretty, One Day\u00a0and\u00a0 Twilight.
