\n Andy Farrell says Ireland’s costly mistakes proved decisive after their 40-21 defeat to New Zealand at Eden Park.\n <\/p>\n

Andy Farrell says Ireland’s uncharacteristic errors were the biggest factor in Saturday’s 40-21 defeat to New Zealand in Auckland.<\/p>\n

Ireland struggled with the handling and ball retention throughout the opening half, allowing the All Blacks to take control of the contest before the break.<\/p>\n

Farrell said his side became “too desperate” at times, while Joe McCarthy and Jimmy O’Brien also admitted Ireland’s execution and communication fell below the required standard.<\/p>\n
