Leading by five points with the wind to come in the second half, John Kiely’s side cruised to victory with a goal from Cathal O’Neill giving Limerick a cushion they never relinquished.

Having not held Liam MacCarthy since 2023, Limerick looked determined all year to get the job done and on the biggest of days they delivered, leaving a young Galway side wondering what more they could have done differently.

A key component of Limerick’s backroom team that is often mentioned is their sports psychologist Caroline Currid. In recent days, former Limerick captain Declan Hannon has spoken about the impact she has on the group and the evidence is there for all to see, when she’s involved, Limerick win All-Irelands.

Cian Lynch’s Caroline Currid Mention Prompted Huge Reaction From Limerick Fans

        Recommended

In his speech Cian Lynch thanked Caroline Currid with the crowd giving her a huge reception and massive round of applause as she was shown on the big screen.

Lynch said of Currid in the speech:

Our sports psychologist Caroline Currid, unbelievable.
