\n\tJustin Bieber<\/a> got a pep talk from Ted Lasso (Jason Sudeikis) during the 2026 FIFA World Cup<\/a> Halftime Show. In between superstar music performances at the Spain vs. Argentina match on Sunday (July 19), Lasso walked the stadium with the Apple TV+ series\u2019 Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt) with commentary on how the entertainment was going so far \u2014 and then put Bieber on the field to serenade the world with \u201cEverything Hallelujah.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cCoach, I gotta say, first half of halftime knocked my darn socks off,\u201d said Lasso, as played by Sudeikis in the surprise appearance by the Ted Lasso actors at New York New Jersey Stadium (aka MetLife Stadium) in East Rutherford, N.J. \u201cHow the heck is anyone gonna follow all that?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThen the Belieber within rose: \u201cYou know what I think we need? We need some heart. You know, someone who has soul. Someone who can bring the love. Ooo. You thinking what I\u2019m thinking?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tEnter Bieber, head down and acoustic guitar in hand, ready for Lasso\u2019s words of encouragement.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cAll right, young man,\u201d he tells the pop star. \u201cLet\u2019s go! It\u2019s your big shot. OK. Listen to me. Go out there. Don\u2019t be nervous. Nobody\u2019s watching. Make us proud.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tThe bit led into Bieber delivering a smooth performance of \u201cEverything Hallelujah,\u201d from Swag II. It was quieter, earnest moment in an 11-minute halftime show full of high energy in musical performances from Madonna, BTS, Shakira with Burna Boy, Coldplay and more.<\/p>\n
