\n\tBLACKPINK<\/a>\u2018s LISA<\/a> has had an epic year, a breakout solo season away from the K-pop superstar group that deserves its own movie. Which is exactly what it\u2019s getting. Sony Music Vision announced on Monday (July 20) that LISA will be the subject of the upcoming full-length documentary Always Lalisa, which will make its world premiere in the gala program at the 2026 Toronto International Film Festival (Sept. 10-20).<\/p>\n

\n\tAccording to a description, the movie follows LISA during a pivotal year in her life, when, \u201cfor the first time since childhood, she steps away from BLACKPINK for a year of independence. With the clock ticking before her return to the group, LISA confronts the fear and pressure of launching a solo career, pursuing acting, and building a brand, while yearning to maintain a personal life beyond the spotlight.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tAt press time, no additional information was available about the film or a planned release date in cinemas or on streaming.<\/p>\n

\n\tStepping outside the confines of BLACKPINK, over the past year Lisa performed \u201cGoals\u201d alongside Anitta and Rema at the 2026 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony<\/a>, played a solo set at the 2025 Coachella Festival, was on the cover of Vanity Fair\u2018s summer 2026 issue, became the first K-pop artist to serve on the Met Gala host committee and made her acting debut in HBO\u2019s hit drama The White Lotus.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn addition, she\u2019s also starring in and executive producing two Netflix projects, the action film TYGO and an untitled Notting Hill-style rom-com, and will headline her upcoming sold-out, four-show Las Vegas residency at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, VIVA LA LISA<\/a>, which will take place on Nov. 13-14 and Nov. 27-28.<\/p>\n

\n\tAlways Lalisa, directed by Sue Kim, is produced by Sony Music Vision in association with RCA Records, Tremolo Productions, Salt Water Productions and LLOUD CO.<\/p>\n

\n\tIn June, Lisa revealed that she is working on the follow-up<\/a> to her debut full-length solo album, Alter Ego, which debuted at No. 1<\/a> on Billboard\u2019s Top Album Sales chart in March 2025.<\/p>\n
