Emmerdale fans can expect big trouble for Kev Barton next week, when his criminal past comes back to haunt him as his old pal Steve<\/a> robs Home Farm.<\/p>\n

Ever since returning to Emmerdale to try to build a relationship with his son Lewis, Kev has been trying to prove he’s a reformed character and worthy of being a dad. But all his efforts could be in vain when Steve ignores Kev’s plea to stay out of trouble and instead heads to Home Farm to rob the place\u2026<\/p>\n

“Kev is already fighting an uphill battle to convince Lewis, so something like this could destroy any hope of bonding forever,” warns our Dales insider. “He knows Steve is dodgy as can be, but he’d hoped to appeal to him as a mate. <\/p>\n

“He tells Steve in no uncertain terms to leave the gaff alone as it’s his home turf now. But instead of respecting what he’s said, Steve has totally ignored Kev and gone rogue again, but it’s Kev who will pay the price!”<\/p>\n

Although Kev knows Steve can’t be trusted, he hasn’t had the chance to watch him like a hawk because he’s busy prepping for Lewis’s birthday. Now he’s found his son, Kev is determined to make up for the many birthdays he’s missed and ensure this birthday is one to remember.<\/p>\n

However, Kev doesn’t bank on it being unforgettable for all the wrong reasons. And while Claudette and Charles Anderson are there to help, Vinny Dingle is turning out to be far more of a hindrance\u2026<\/p>\n

“There’s a strange dynamic between Vinny and Kev, and it’s one to watch<\/a>,” continues our spy. “Vinny has become jealous of the relationship that Kev is trying to build with Lewis.<\/p>\n

“Given Kev’s past and Vinny’s own experience with his dad Paul, it’s no surprise that he’s wary. But Kev is doing what he can to prove himself to be a dad who cares and wants the best for Lewis, and Vinny’s motivations aren’t quite as clear.”<\/p>\n

With Steve heading to Home Farm to help himself and Vinny making his life harder with Lewis, Kev’s in a pickle as Lewis’ birthday dawns.<\/p>\n

Will Kev get thrown under a bus when, for once, none of this is his fault?<\/p>\n
