Coronation Street’s Cassie Plummer takes drastic action to drive Tyrone Dobbs’s long-lost father<\/a> away next week \u2013 and resorts to her old habits. As she did once before<\/a>, Cassie reaches for the medicine cupboard to get what she wants, and tries to poison unsuspecting Ross Wilkes\u2026<\/p>\n

“Being reunited with Ross was the last thing Cassie wanted, for both her and Tyrone,” begins our Corrie insider. “The guy is no good, but Ty can’t see it and wants to get to know him.<\/p>\n

“Determined to protect her son, Cassie is about to take a huge risk\u2026”<\/p>\n

Steve McDonald knows sleazy Ross paid to sleep with Cassie back when she was forced into sex work, something she doesn’t want Tyrone to find out. Horrified that Ross is playing the doting dad, Cassie looks for ways to get him out of the picture, and Steve fears she’s becoming obsessed. <\/p>\n

Cassie finds an app where you post ‘reviews’ of former flings, and thinks she’s found a way to rile Ross. The idea is you share your experience of a nasty ex, and hope it attracts other negative stories about them. <\/p>\n

If she gets enough comments about Ross, Cassie can prove to Tyrone his dad is a waste of space! <\/p>\n

Before long, Cassie hears from a lady called Alison, who used to date Ross. After swapping stories about their mutual old flame, Cassie arranges for Alison to come to the Rovers where she unleashes some shocking info about Ross\u2026<\/p>\n

“Cassie summons Ross, Tyrone, Steve and Tracy to the pub,” explains our spy. “She introduces Alison, who reveals Ross is her ex and once stole money from her and threatened her life! Ross rages \u2013 has Cassie’s plan worked?”<\/p>\n

It appears not, as there’s more to this situation than meets the eye. The situation all backfires on Cassie, allowing Ross to get his feet even further under the Dobbs’ table.<\/p>\n

When Ross announces he has a job at the local prison and is putting down roots in Weatherfield, Cassie realises she’ll need to up her game and find a way to expose his true colours.<\/p>\n

To celebrate his birthday, Ross is treated to a family gathering with tea and cake. Struggling to see him bond with their boy, will Cassie tell Tyrone the truth about his conception? <\/p>\n

Just when she thinks she’s running out of ideas, Cassie gets a flash of inspiration. Ross explains he must take a drug test for his new job, and Cassie sees Amy give him a smoothie in his travel mug. Waiting until the coast is clear, Cassie puts her latest plan into action\u2026<\/p>\n

“Cassie grabs some painkillers and mixes them into Ross’ smoothie,” divulges our mole. “She’s drugging him just like she did to Ken! Cassie thinks she’s got away with it \u2013 only she’s left some evidence behind\u2026”<\/p>\n

Stunned Steve later finds a strip of meds in Cassie’s cardigan pocket. The whole sorry saga unfolds, and Cassie is unable to defend herself when her plot is exposed. Dumped by Steve and rejected by Tyrone, has Cassie lost everything? And is this why she leaves the Street<\/a>?<\/p>\n
