Meanwhile, many Android brands have slipped on the ground following the stringent component cost problems.<\/p>\n<p>Counterpoint today dropped its <a href=\"https:\/\/counterpointresearch.com\/en\/insights\/china-smartphone-shipments-slip-2-percent-yoy-in-q2-2026\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">analysis<\/a> on China\u2019s smartphone sales market for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.huaweicentral.com\/huawei-records-smartphone-sales-jump-globally-in-2q26-counterpoint\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Q2 2026<\/a>, where Huawei is leading with the highest shipment share among all rivals.<\/p>\n<p>The company\u2019s smart price strategy helped it retain the top position, despite the fact that the entire Chinese smartphone market is seeing a decline of 2% year-on-year.<\/p>\n<p>Huawei has scored 23% of the sell-in shipment share in the second quarter of 2026, up from 18% in the same period last year. Apple follows the OEM in the second spot.<\/p>\n<p>According to the report, Huawei\u2019s strengthened market leadership is fueled by strong demand for Enjoy 90 Pro Max, which packs a 5G <a href=\"https:\/\/www.huaweicentral.com\/huawei-mate-90-pro-max-logicfolding-kirin-chip\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Kirin chip<\/a> and an 8500mAh battery. The device appeared as a turning point in the firm\u2019s entry-level phone segment.<\/p>\n<p>Counterpoint said:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHuawei\u2019s strong performance was driven by robust demand for the Enjoy 90 Pro Max and strength across its broader portfolio, sustaining 24% YoY shipment growth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The successful launch of the Pura X Max also reinforced Huawei\u2019s foothold in the premium foldable market. Its stable pricing has attracted many customers to iPhones.<\/p>\n<p>OPPO showed up on the third stand \u2013 the same rank as last year, but this time, the company slipped from 18% to 16% in the sales share. Vivo has dipped to the fourth spot from the second with 16% of the shipment share.<\/p>\n<p>Xiaomi and Honor have achieved fifth and sixth positions, respectively.
