{"id":560178,"date":"2026-07-21T04:50:13","date_gmt":"2026-07-21T04:50:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/560178\/"},"modified":"2026-07-21T04:50:13","modified_gmt":"2026-07-21T04:50:13","slug":"man-and-woman-die-following-road-collision-in-co-antrim","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/ie\/560178\/","title":{"rendered":"Man and woman die following road collision in Co Antrim"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Two people have died following a road collision in Co Antrim.<\/p>\n<p>A 41-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman died following the incident involving a van in the Glenariffe area of Ballymena on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>The Police Service of Northern Ireland named the woman as Natasha Gove from the Ballyclare area.<\/p>\n<p>A police spokesperson said they received a report of the crash involving a silver Ford Transit Custom van in the Glenariffe Road area shortly before 9.10pm.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Officers, along with colleagues from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, and Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service attended,&#8221; they said.<\/p>\n<p>The spokesperson added: &#8220;The occupants of the van, a 41-year-old man, and 31-year-old woman, were both sadly pronounced deceased at the scene.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;No other injuries were reported. The Glenariffe Road, which was closed for a time, has since fully reopened.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Our inquiries are continuing, and we would appeal to anyone who witnessed the collision, or who may have any information which could assist with our investigation, including dash-cam or other footage, to contact the Collision Investigation Unit on 101, quoting reference number 1423 18\/07\/26.&#8221;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Two people have died following a road collision in Co Antrim.
