Conan O\u2019Brien<\/a> thought he pulled a pretty slick move.<\/p>\n

The comedian debuted a new hairstyle on his popular podcast \u201cConan O\u2019Brien Needs A Friend\u201d Monday<\/a> without saying a word about it \u2014 and fans watching on YouTube were so shocked by his new look that they couldn\u2019t even pay attention to his interview with fellow comedian Molly Shannon.<\/p>\n

O\u2019Brien is known for his signature pompadour, but on Monday\u2019s episode, his red hair was slicked back, giving him a \u2026 uh, wetter look.<\/p>\n

His fans on YouTube quickly took over the comment section with their thoughts. <\/p>\n

\u201cIf this is Conan\u2019s new look he needs a gold chain,\u201d one fan joked.<\/p>\n

\u201cConan looking like your Irish Uncle who shows you how to steal gas from cars, and gifts you a flick-knife and to keep it a secret from Mom,\u201d another fan said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis oiled hair making Conan look like a strict drug lord,\u201d another fan pointed out. <\/p>\n

\u201cStrait of Hormuz closing has led to Conan\u2019s pompadour deflating,\u201d a commenter quipped.<\/p>\n

\u201cI don\u2019t know what they\u2019re talking about. I\u2019m 15mins in still reading the comments about his hair \ud83d\ude02,\u201d a fan joked about his interview with Shannon.<\/p>\n

\u201cGreaser Conan isn\u2019t real. He can\u2019t hurt you..\u201d echoed another fan.<\/p>\n

Although O\u2019Brien never disclosed when, how, or why his hairstyle differed during his interview, fans were equally stunned when he posted a snap of himself with the \u201cSaturday Night Live\u201d alum on Instagram<\/a>. But the IG fans were slightly more forgiving, with many assuming he had just washed his hair.<\/p>\n

\u201cMaybe we just got a window into his styling process,\u201d a comment read. \u201cI think we\u2019ve all left the house with wet hair before.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s easy to understand why his fans were so flabbergasted by the new \u2019do. O\u2019Brien\u2019s flaming red pompadour is so synonymous with his brand that at one point it was the freakin\u2019 logo for his TBS talk show<\/a>. <\/p>\n

O\u2019Brien even got into a jokey, fake spat with Anderson Cooper in 2011<\/a> in which the two men traded jabs on social media over who had the best TV hair.<\/p>\n

\u201cSorry @AndersonCooper, but as long as there is blood in my scalp, my hair shall defeat yours. (Maniacal laughter),\u201d O\u2019Brien wrote to Cooper at the time. <\/p>\n
