Poor winners…<\/p>\n
It was widely agreed that Ireland put in a sub-par performance in their loss to the All Blacks last weekend, in a showing that was littered with unforced errors.<\/p>\n
It was also acknowledged by most level-headed watchers that a couple of big decisions were called wrong by the TMO\/referee, despite video replay and sufficient time to make a decision.<\/p>\n
Those two things can be right at the same time.<\/p>\n
Not content with the victory alone and an impressive performance from his side, All Blacks legend Justin Marshall strongly criticised Irish pundits and fans for calling out these those decisions.<\/p>\n
“They feel like their performance wasn’t up to standard, but it’s everyone else’s fault.<\/p>\n
“They’ve been blaming a couple of decisions within the game going ‘we were ripped off, the All Blacks cheated, they always get the favourable decisions at Eden Park, there was this and that’.<\/p>\n
“Mate, we didn’t make you drop the ball f*****g 15 times. Do you know how many tackles they fell off?<\/p>\n
“They were falling off tackles like that, but they go straight towards\u00a0Quinn Tupaea\u00a0should have been a yellow card and Jacobson should have been red.<\/p>\n
“You know what guys? Sort out your own s**t first.”<\/p>\n
It seems the point he is making is that unless teams are 100% perfect in their own play, then referees should have impunity to make incorrect decisions….<\/p>\n
